Rajma Rasmisa Recipe

Rajma RasmisaHere is a very easy Rajma rasmisa recipe. Punjabi make various kinds of rajma. This is one easy to make Punjabi rajma rasmisa recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 200 gms Rajma (Kidney Beans)- 200 gms
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • 3 Onions medium-sized and chopped
  • 1 cup Fresh Tomato Puree
  • 1 tblsp Ginger (adrak) paste – 1 tblsp
  • 3 – 4 Green Chillies (chopped)
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tblsp Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Curd (dahi)
  • 2 tblsp green coriander leaves
How to make rajma rasmisa :
  1. Pick, wash and soak the rajma overnight.
  2. Boil the soaked rajma next till well cooked.
  3. Heat oil, add bayleaf and cumin seeds.
  4. When they crackle, add chopped onions.
  5. Saute it till light golden brown in colour.
  6. Add ginger paste and garlic paste and saute it.
  7. Add the tomato puree and saute it.
  8. Now add the green chillies, cumin seeds powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, curd and salt.
  9. Cook the masala for 5-6 minutes or till oil separates.
  10. Add the rajma, mix it well and add half a cup of water.
  11. Cook it for another 15- 20 minutes. Mash a little with the ladle.
  12. Garnish with green coriander leaves.
